Due to the on-going norovirus outbreak at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is imposing a ban on all visiting, with the exception of some key areas.

Wards at FGH remain closed due to winter vomiting bug
Ward 1 at Furness General Hospital is now closed to all admissions and transfers, except in medical emergencies, following an outbreak of diarrhoea and vomiting due to the winter vomiting bug Norovirus. Wards 4, 5, 6, 7 and 9 also remain closed.
