The Trust is pleased to offer a range of salary sacrifice schemes. A salary sacrifice is where you chose a benefit and in return agree to a reduction in your salary which will give you a Tax, National Insurance, and pension saving (if applicable)
The Trust provides onsite Nurseries at Furness General Hospital and Royal Lancaster Infirmary. The Nurseries are run by Kidsunlimited and are open Monday to Friday 7.00am to 6.30pm (subject to demand). The fees are offered at a discounted rate to Trust staff and you may salary sacrifice the full amount of the fees. Do you pay for Ofsted registered Childcare such as Nursery Fees, Child minder, Breakfast Club, or Holiday Play scheme? If so, then you can make savings by sacrificing up to a maximum of £243.00 per month towards your childcare fees Childcare vouchers can be used for any registered childcare provider for a child up to the age of 15 years or 16 years if your child has a disability.
Cycle to Work Scheme
The Trust encourages staff to think about alternative ways of getting to work. As such we operate a Cycle to Work Scheme. This enables staff to hire a bicycle and equipment up to the value of £1,000 for a period of 12 months. At the end of the 12 month period you can return the bike to the Trust or pay a one off purchase fee and the bike is yours to keep.
Salary Sacrifice Car Parking Scheme
There are staff car parks on each of the hospital sites. For staff who are eligible to use the staff car parks there is the option of Salary Sacrificing your car parking charges.
Salary Sacrifice Computer Scheme
If you are looking to update your Computer equipment the Trust runs a tax efficient Salary Sacrifice Computer Scheme. Twice year we offer you the chance to make savings of up to 30% on the high street cost of an IPad, Tablet, Laptop or Computer. The payment period lasts for 24 months and is made via your salary.
