Doctors and Consultants at UHMBT - Your role

Doctors and Consultants - Your role

Although modern specialist career pathways involve fewer applications for posts than used to happen, it is still as important to make the correct choice – particularly for that specialist position for which you have worked so hard.

May we invite you to spend some time looking at the posts that are available at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust? Positioned as we are on the edge of the Lake District with an excellent road and rail link to London or Scotland we can offer you an exciting and fulfilling career in a unique part of the country.

We put quality at the centre of everything we do for both our patients and for our staff. The Trust is committed to encouraging our clinicians to not only provide a high quality service but also to support them in developing their own interests whether this is in education, research or management. Lancaster University, with a world class management school and brand new medical school, is on our doorstep and our clinicians are encouraged to take part in undergraduate teaching or even undertake a postgraduate course themselves.

Over the last five years we have expanded our clinical workforce which is dedicated to constantly improving the many services that we provide in North Lancashire and the South Lakes. Many of our consultants were trainees themselves at one of our hospitals – that in itself is a testament to what we can offer you.

We hope that you find a post that interests you and if you would like to visit us, we would be happy to arrange this.
