Clinical Trials Performance

The University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is committed to improving performance in the approval and conduct of research.

As part of our contractual arrangements with the Department of Health, the Trust is obliged to publish Performance on Initiating (PI) data for all interventional clinical trials and Performance on Delivery (PD) date for all commercial clinical trials that have been open in the Trust over in last 12 months.

Initiating clinical research- the 70 day benchmark

The PI benchmark is a single measure recorded from the date of receipt of valid research application to the date the first patient is recruited into a trial.
