Gender Pay Gap

The Gender Pay Gap requirements have presented a valuable opportunity for our Trust.

As an organisation we are committed to inclusion, as evidenced by our being positioned as 8th most inclusive employer in the UK, and one of our key strategic aims is to ensure that our organisation is 'a great place to be cared for and a great place to work'.

Following government consultation, it became mandatory for any organisation with over 250 employees to report annually (from 30 March 2018) on their gender pay gap. Our gender pay gap analysis is available at the link below.

Having now completed this analysis, we are in a position to progress this important agenda. In the first instance, we will be taking the matter to our gender inclusion working group and will be asking this group to determine what action we’d like to see coming out of gender pay gap analysis.

This activity will fit really well with our Towards Inclusion strategy timescales, with the second annual update due in July this year. We expect that by then, we will be in a position to share the detail of what actions, over and above those next steps described in the paper, we intend to take on the back of having published our gender pay gap.
