Trust Communications Team

During office hours, all media enquiries should be directed to the Communications Team on 01539 716675 .

This is particularly important in ensuring that information given about University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is accurate, consistent and up to date.

Please direct all press enquiries regarding the Trust, its staff or patients, to the Communications Team on 01539 716675 / 01524 519320 or communications.team@mbht.nhs.uk.

Out-of-hours and weekends
Outside normal office hours, the on-call Press Officer will deal with urgent enquiries from journalists only. The Press Officer on-call can be contacted via 01539 732288.

Condition checks
Patient condition checks should be referred to the Communications Team during office hours. Please note that with requests for patient information, the Communications Team first needs to seek consent from the patient / relatives. Without consent, no patient information will be disclosed.

Filming requests
All proposals will be considered and accommodated where possible or appropriate. Proposals for filming can be emailed to communications.team@mbht.nhs.uk, and should include the following information:

  • Name and organisation
  • Production working title
  • Delivery format
  • Target audience
  • Duration
  • When it will be shown / whether it has been commissioned
  • Purpose of production
  • Proposed subject/s covered by filming (including staff and patients)
