Integrated Rapid Response Service

The Integrated Rapid Response Service South (IRRS) works within the community and provides rehabilitation and recovery to people in their own homes. The teams provide temporary services over a number of days or weeks to adults aged 18 and over who live in Cumbria.

IRRS is for people who do not need specialist acute hospital admission but need support to recover from an illness or an accident. The aim of IRRS is to help prevent people from having to go into hospital or a care home unnecessarily and to support people on their discharge from hospital, where appropriate, to help them regain and maintain as much independence as possible.

IRRS is made up of different health and social care professionals including Social Workers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioners, Therapy Assistants, Community Nurses and Administrators

What our patients have said about us:

"When it comes to thoughtfulness you have a special touch. That’s why it's nice to let you know your kindness means so much. Many thanks to all for your care."
