Podiatry

Podiatrists, previously known as Chiropodists, are trained to prevent, diagnose, manage and treat abnormal conditions of the feet and lower limbs.

As well as the treatment of certain skin and nail conditions, podiatrists can also treat and advise on;

Podiatrists help to keep people mobile and active by relieving pain. They also provide general and specialist foot care advice to patients and other healthcare professionals.

Our Podiatrists are based at various sites around the county. If you are unable to leave your home due to your health you may be able to be treated at home.

If you are having problems with your feet and would like a podiatry assessment, you can access the podiatry service either by completing a self-referral form or by referral from a health care professional, such as your doctor or nurse. Forms can be obtained from community podiatry clinics (details of which are below). If you would prefer to have a referral form posted to you, please telephone your local podiatry clinic.

What our patients say about us:

"I can't fault the service, it is a very important service to the community, people like me would be lost without it."
