Tissue Viability Service

The Tissue Viability Nurses provide specialist advice and care to community-based patients with a wide variety of complex and ongoing wounds. These include pressure ulcers (both the prevention and management of such), traumatic injuries and complex non-healing wounds.

The team provides direct care to patients while supporting and educating them on how to manage their condition. Patients will be seen at their usual place of treatment, which may be in their own home, at a GP surgery or in a nursing home.

Tissue Viability Nurses also provide support to other clinicians and can advise on the best practice for managing and treating complex wounds. All healthcare professionals are welcome to contact the team for advice.

What our patients have said about us:

"The treatment I received was excellent and very professional. The nurses were caring, understanding and looked after me extremely well."
