End PJ Paralysis

A national 70 Day #EndPJparalysis Challenge aims to have 1 million patient days of people up, dressed and moving in their own clothes, rather than hospital gowns or pyjamas (PJs).

This is so important because 10 days of bed rest in hospital leads to the equivalent of 10 years ageing in the muscles of people over 80.
The national challenge will run from 17 April to 26 June 2018 – to finish in time for the NHS 70th anniversary celebrations on 5 July.
Staff are being challenged to use the app named ‘#endPJparalysis’ which has been automatically downloaded to all work mobile phones or tablets and answer two daily questions:

1. How many patients are dressed in day clothes at midday?
2. Of these patients, how many have mobilised e.g. to the toilet/shower or walked around the bed?

If you would like to download the app yourself simply search ‘#endPJparalysis’ in the app store.
