The total reflects the generosity of club members throughout the year, with £6,436 raised through events and activities and the final figure increased to £7,000 thanks to a personal donation from Club President Keith Cordukes.

Fundraising took place across the year and brought together members from all sections of the club, united by a cause that held deep personal meaning for many involved.

A wide range of activities helped build the impressive total, including raffles, competitions, an auction and individual donations, alongside special events that drew strong support from both the Ladies’ Section and the Gents Winter League.

One of the highlights was a fashion show hosted by local boutique Kitty Brown, with ticket sales and a percentage of merchandise sold on the night contributing a substantial sum.

For some fundraisers, including Paul Bowman and his wife Karen, the cause was particularly close to home, having personally benefitted from the skilled and compassionate support of the Neonatal Team.

Paul Bowman, Past Captain of Silverdale Golf Club, said: “This has been a truly special year for our club. My thanks to all our members and friends and to Bev our former Lady Captain for agreeing to raise money for such a special cause which is close to my heart.

“The level of support and generosity from our members has been phenomenal and everyone threw themselves into fundraising with real enthusiasm. The Neonatal Unit means so much to families across our area and knowing that this money will help support babies and parents when they need it most makes us incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”
