This week’s edition includes lots of news and updates from across the Trust.  

‘OPEL 4’ declared due to increasing pressures 

The pressures our Trust, and the NHS as a whole, have been facing for the last few months has felt relentless; and whilst we do experience times where it feels like ‘normal’, it doesn’t last long before another difficult spell hits us. This weekend has been particularly challenging for our hospital and community services; and yesterday, the pressures became overwhelming and the decision was made to formally declare OPEL 4 - the highest level of internal escalation in the NHS. 

Priorities update - week 1 

Over the next three weeks we’ll be taking an in-depth look at each Trust priority, updating you on progress in the final three months of 2021 as well as upcoming developments.

There are simple steps we can take to protect ourselves from cyber threats and keep unauthorised people away from sensitive or confidential information such as patient data, health care records or details of our IT systems.
