More about our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Service
Our team provide year-round pulmonary rehabilitation in multiple sites across Morecambe Bay, at Stanley Road Church Morecambe; King’s Church Lancaster; Kendal Leisure Centre; Alfred Barrow Health Centre.
In 2025, we have additional funding to deliver additional PR programmes in Carnforth, Lakes, Millom, Ulverston and Dales to make accessing pulmonary rehab classes even easier.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation is a 6-week course of exercises, self-management techniques and education, delivered over twice-weekly classes (12 in total) that are around 90 minutes long. The classes help people with a chronic lung disease do more, feel less breathless and tired, and have better control over their own health. It's also a great place to meet others with similar lung conditions to yours. Your first visit will include an assessment of your health and fitness, so that we can create a programme that suits you, and you will receive more information on what to expect with your appointment letter.
