National lockdown reintroduced

Due to the continuing rise of COVID-19 cases, a national lockdown has once again been put in place. Government are advising people to stay at home except where necessary.

UHMBT vaccinates first colleague with new Oxford AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine

UHMBT has become one of the first trusts across the country to start vaccinating using the new Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccine with Hilary Birch being the first person to receive the vaccine at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI). 

National proposals for NHS legislative reforms

NHS England and NHS Improvement published a report which is a consultation document setting out proposals for legislative reform, opening up a discussion with the NHS and its partners about how Integrated Care Systems could be embedded in legislation or guidance. A survey has been made available nationally for patients, NHS staff and partner organisations to share their views. The survey is available here.
