In line with national guidance, and to keep local mums and babies safe, we would like to clarify our visiting arrangements for scans, antenatal appointments and births.
We ask that you only bring one support person from the same household with you to any appointments or scans. Please ensure that you and your accompanying support person have performed lateral flow tests twice a week. Find where to get rapid lateral flow tests. You will be asked to demonstrate evidence of your result on arrival to your appointments.
One named birth partner can attend the birth - this includes during the induction process. Birthing partners should stay in the room with their loved one unless it is absolutely necessary to leave. There is an option of having a second birth partner present in established labour
Birthing partners are not allowed to stay overnight after the birth
One designated birth partner can visit between the hours of 9am - 9pm. Unfortunately, no children are allowed in the units at this time.
We ask that all visitors to our hospitals also continue to:
Wear surgical masks at all times
Follow social distancing and PPE guidance as instructed by staff
Complete the necessary track and trace forms on entrance/exit to the clinical areas
Please note that this guidance has been issued in response to the current COVID-19 advice on how to minimise transmission. Thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
